LaNyalla: First Precepts of Pancasila is the Main Spirit in Running the State

KEDIRI, dpd.go.id – The Chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, reminded this country to hold on to the spirit of Godhead in regulating people's lives, as stated in the First Precepts of Pancasila.

LaNyalla explained, the First Precept of Pancasila, 'Belief in One Supreme God', is the legal umbrella for the theological and cosmological spirit in running the country.

"Therefore, any policy that is made and decided must be placed within an ethical and moral framework as well as the spirit of religion," said LaNyalla when filling out Nationality and Entrepreneurship Insights at the Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding School, Kediri City, Sunday (10/23/2022) .

Therefore, LaNyalla emphasized that policies that only benefit certain groups, let alone harm the people, have clearly violated the ethical and moral framework and the spirit of religion, which means they have violated the highest legal norm, Pancasila.

The senator from East Java said the nation's founders had thought far ahead to prepare this country as a godly state. In order to be able to maintain the dignity of the Indonesian people who are also godly.

However, this nation has disobeyed the founding fathers of the nation. Their noble thoughts contained in the Pancasila were abandoned. This nation is uprooted from its national roots so that it becomes a nation that has no identity and character.

"We know that the amendments to the original 1945 Constitution from 1999 to 2002 changed 95 percent of the contents of the articles in it, so that they are no longer connected with Pancasila. Even the explanation of the original 1945 Constitution was completely deleted. Instead, they describe other ideologies, namely Individualism and Liberalism. It's no wonder that recently Capitalism and Secularism are getting stronger in Indonesia," he explained.

The disappearance of Pancasila as a Constitutional Identity which was carried out “shyly but willingly”, or “ashamed of the cat”, said LaNyalla, was the basis of all the problems that made Indonesia increasingly chaotic.

"For that we must re-open history. Read the noble thoughts of the founding fathers of the nation. Re-read Pancasila which has been abandoned today," he said.

According to LaNyalla, this nation must re-read the basic character and DNA of the original democratic system of this nation. Where the founders of the nation have agreed to use the Syuro System, which is actually adopted from a system that is well known in Islamic teachings.

That is the sovereignty of the people which is given to the wisdom who sits in the Highest State Institution as the incarnation of all elements of the people as the rightful owners of the nation and state. It is not only filled with politicians from political parties. But there are also complete envoys from all regions and factions.

"That's why I am currently campaigning to reorganize Indonesia in order to face future challenges that will be even more difficult. We must make this nation sovereign, independent and self-sufficient. For that we must return to Pancasila," he said.
