Urgent Digital Disruption, LaNyalla Urges Universities to Prepare Cyber Security Professionals

SURABAYA, dpd.go.id - The chairman of DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, is concerned about the ability to handle digital disruption. According to him, cyber security is needed so that security risks can be suppressed.

According to LaNyalla, cyber security is needed because hackers can easily steal personal data through accounts and steal money through accounts.

"This digital progress must also be accompanied by an increase in the quality of human resources. Because we need cyber security to suppress the activities of hackers," said LaNyalla during a visit to the electoral district, Thursday (12/1/2023).

For this reason, LaNyalla encourages the increase of human resources in the field of Cyber Security to keep pace with digital advances that are now people's needs.

"Cyber security is really needed, especially by government agencies or institutions. So there is a balance in technological progress," he said.

The senator from East Java also urged universities to prepare training for professional cyber security personnel soon.

"We must be able to catch up with the speed of hacking case algorithms with the readiness to provide Cyber Security experts," he said.

The Surabaya YPTA Information Systems Directorate explained, the Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) stated that there was a data hack around 2016.

Namely, more than 1 billion personal data and Indonesia needs 1,000 cyber security expertise for various kinds of needs, starting from the industrial world, government agencies and others. (*)
