JAKARTA - The termination of the cooperation contract between the BPJS of Health Pamekasan Branch and the Waru Hospital, Pamekasan Regency, East Java, was regretted by the Chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti.

According to him, this will have an impact on decreasing access to health services for the poor.

For this reason, LaNyalla asked both parties to review the existing contracts, so that the interests of the community were not disturbed.

"Health services are vital for the community. That's why I asked BPJS Kesehatan to renew the collaboration contract with the RSUD (Regional Hospital) and adjust it to service standards," said LaNyalla, Friday (6/1/2022).

According to him, the Waru Hospital and the Government of Pamekasan Regency must also meet the requirements set, including repairing all facilities to comply with the provisions.

"The point is that both parties prioritize the interests of the community. Even if there is tolerance in some conditions, it must be mutually agreed upon," he said.

Previously, the Pamekasan Branch of Health BPJS, East Java, did not continue its collaboration with Waru Hospital, Pamekasan Regency, East Java.

One of the reasons is because Waru Hospital does not have a pediatrician. Also, the facilities and infrastructure in the ICU room do not meet the health service standards set by BPJS Kesehatan. (*)
