LaNyalla Has a Commitment to the People, 20,441 People Give Support

SURABAYA, dpd.go.id - As many as 20,441 people gave support to AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti to run again as Member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia from East Java.

LaNyalla, who currently serves as Chairman of the DPD RI, is considered to have a commitment to the people and national issues for the betterment of Indonesia.

Tens of thousands of supports were handed over by AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, Dwi Putranto's younger brother, M. Diah Agus Muslim, and Liaison Officer (LO) Prospective Candidate Rohmad Amrullah to East Java General Election Commission (KPU) Chairman Choirul Anam at the East Java KPU Office, Surabaya, Thursday (29/12/2022).

The handover of support at the East Java KPU Office was also attended by hundreds of AA LaNyalla sympathizers who came from 38 regencies and cities throughout East Java.

Dwi Putranto's younger brother emphasized that the amount of support flowing was based on the people's trust in the work of AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti in defending the common people.

"Friends who are well-wishers here regard Mr. LaNyalla as a father, as a teacher, as a friend. That is what underlies us to provide support. And we all know that Mr. LaNyalla has always been committed to fighting for the Indonesian people and fighting for social justice," said Adik after handing over the support.

The general chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) also apologized to all East Java KPU commissioners because LaNyalla was unable to attend the occasion.

"He represented us to convey as a candidate for individual Pileg participants.”

The total support that we convey today is 20,441. While the requirement is only 5,000, so much more. Furthermore, the distribution, the support we have received is in 38 regencies and cities, while the conditions are only half, also more. All that remains is that after this there is another process, namely administrative and factual verification," said Adik.

The chairman of the East Java KPU, Choirul Anam, expressed his gratitude for LaNyalla's participation in the Legislative Election from an individual route.

"And thank you for following the process that we conveyed at the beginning of the socialization. After today, we will examine it, we cross-check the extent of the support that has been delivered. Hopefully we all hope that the support that has been delivered has met a minimum of 5,000 and a minimum distribution of 50 percent of urban districts," said Choirul.

He explained, verification would begin on Friday (30/12/2022). The initial stage will begin with administrative verification activities, after which it will be followed by factual verification.

"We hope that there will be good cooperation between the East Java Provincial KPU and Mr. LaNyalla's team, because this process requires extraordinary coordination. Hopefully, with good coordination, all of our wishes, both us from the Provincial KPU and Mr. LaNyalla's wishes, can be carried out properly. good," he concluded. (*)
